Immigration attorney pleads guilty to conspiracy | Washington Examiner

What a shame the sentence is so light.  I sure hope the attorney is debarred from practice.   They  law breakers obviously weigh the cost of getting caught, and take the chance because the payoff is so great for them to break the law.

Unemployment keeps going up.

It’s a sad state of affairs for sure.  However, how much longer is obama going to say his “stimulus” package has helped create or “save” jobs when the unemployment numbers just keep getting worse?

Deeds and the illegals.

September 18, 2009 at 12:37 pm | Posted in Illegal Aliens, Virginia Politics | 1 Comment

Creigh Deeds explained during his debate with Bob McDonnell that took place in Fairfax, that illegal immigration was a federal issue and up to the Federal Government to handle,  though, he felt it was an important issue, but not important enough to take away from other issues he feels are more important.

Fair enough I suppose, he can believe having illegals in the Commonwealth is not that big of a deal. However, I’m sure the many crime victims of illegals feel differently, as do many other Virginians who respect the rule of law.

Could his opinion also have something to do with labor unions who are backing Deeds.  In recent years as union membership has fallen, there has been a shift among some union in their opinion of illegals.  Unions at one time did not support illegals because they rightly believed illegals took away jobs from Americans.  Now, however with the falling membership, unions see illegals as a way to add to the membership rolls and attempt to stay relevant.

As for the Federal Government being responsible for illegal immigration, and we should continue to push to have them do that job.  But, I find it troubling that Deeds seems unwilling to take on some of that responsibility when it’s clear the Feds are not willing to do it.    Would Deeds feel the same about any other issue affecting the Commonwealth?   Would he just let a problem fester simply because he feels the Federal Government needs to be the one doing the job?

Either answer is troubling and not good for Virginia.

On the other hand, Bob McDonnell, while he agrees the overall responsibility of illegal immigration lies with the Federal Government, he also knows the State needs to step up efforts to rid the State of illegals since it’s clear without taking some responsibility, the problem of illegal immigration is just going to get worse.

More socialism from the White House?

I found this article pretty interesting.  obama and his fellow libs like to bash the “few” who make a lot of money and how these people are greedy.  Yet, on the other hand, obama and his fellow libs like to say they want to end the Bush tax cuts on the wealthy “few” and how tax increases on these same wealthy “few” will fund many of the new Government programs obama and the libs are pushing.

However, if their plan is to limit incomes of the wealthy “few” do they not realize that is also going to affect the taxes paid by these same people?  Which means obama and the libs will have to look elsewhere to for taxes, the middle class.

Dismay in Europe as Obama ditches missile defence – Times Online

Unlike the media in this Country, which protects obama, this article I believe does a better job of explaining the obama give away to Russia.   Yup, obama was going to improve our relationship with Europe.

Now we know why MSNBC and NBC defend and cheer on obama.  GE is the parent company of both “news” outlets.   I thought only the evil Republicans were in bed with evil corporations.   I guess not.

Obama: Legalize illegals to get them health care – Washington Times

Now, we know without a doubt Joe Wilson was correct in calling obama a liar.   Obama simply wants to reward law breakers with citizenship.   The article also contains the usual whining from illegals who want everyone covered and how  some families might have some members covered and some not depending on which ones broke the law and which ones did not.

This is just another reason to not pass any type of Government health care plan, because as we see, it’s not just about health care, it’s about rewarding law breakers and gaining more votes for the libs.
