Another cave in by the City School Board.

It seems the City School Board could not stand to not also weigh in on the election.  The school board voted to close schools on inauguration day.  Now, if the City has had a history of this, then I see nothing wrong with this.  However, if this is more of the cult of personality that has been all the rage, then I can’t disagree more on this decision.

Santa Came to Town.

On 12/05/08, Santa made his  yearly appearance in Old Town Manassas via the VRE train.   After eating supper at Foster’s Grille, CitizenofManassas Jr and I walked around town waiting for the “Santa Train” to arrive.    There are a few new stores in town, and we were able to visit a couple of them.

Of course we made it back in time to the train station and waited in anticipation for Santa.  Jr, got a big trill in being able to give Santa a hug before Santa hopped on the wagon to move over to light the Christmas Tree.     We left soon after, knowing the Christmas countdown has started in earnest.

Is this the type of Family Values we need?

President Bush is fond of saying family values do not stop at the Rio Grande.     If we do not crack down on illegals and secure our Southern Border, it is only a matter of time before we see this type of “family value” in our America.
