I guess bending more rules to favor hispanics is fine.

So much for the rule of law, and one man, one vote.    I’m not exactly sure where to start with this one, but my first reaction to it was to see red.     Why should we allow more votes for people just because elections do not come out the way they like?     That’s the point of having elections, people win, and people lose.    Does this mean, because there are more whites in America, that we should do over the 2008 Presidential election in order to elect a white guy?

Of course common sense seems to be missing from this story.  The town, may very well have a large number of hispanics, however, how many are of voting age?  How many bother to vote?  How many are illegal?   I guess those details do not matter.    It’s a slippery slope that we are starting to go down, when we base elections not on one vote, but rather want to shape it to fit the demographic make up of a particular City, State, etc.
