I recall the press being very hard on President Bush celebrating during war and bad economic times.

But, lo and behold, as soon as obama gets into the White House, it just natural for him to party, and of course instead of criticizing the parties, the press promotes them as a good thing.   

The press is on very shaky ground as it is.  There was some push back on the press last year during the campaign, and a bit during the “tea party” protests this year.  However, I don’t think we’ve seen the end of this push back and in fact, I’m pretty confident, it will get a lot worse before it’s over.   The press simply has lost all of their independence and objectivity.
