While I support Marc 100%,  and support Andy for the most part, I have more questions about the support for Andy, o

It’s too bad that these criminals did not pick a house where the home owner was home and armed.  It would have saved us tax money.

Manassas City Council approves rough draft of the 2011 budget

It’s not a shock to see a poor outlook for the budget.    I’d like to hear the reasons why Andy Harrover supports higher taxes.

An update on the “sign” in Old Town Manassas.

November 14, 2009 at 7:55 pm | In Anti-Americanism., City of Manassas, Illegal Aliens | Leave a Comment

The “sign” came up at last Monday’s City Council meeting.  The City attorney thought, the sign had been taken down, but was corrected by Larry Hughes, who said it was back up.  the attorney then said the City should move forward to have it removed.  So, hopefully, the City will take the land owner to court and put the nails to him this time.

More news regarding Lake Manassas.

The City is hosting a workshop on Lake Manassas. The meeting will take place starting at 5:30 on December 7 and will take place on the second floor of City Hall.   The City closed off access to the Lake a number of years ago, and it appears there is a serious effort to  reopen the lake for fishing.

The GOP brought the brooms out today.

After having suffered through back to back liberal wins, the GOP took back the Governorship today, and followed that up by winning the other two top positions.   Jackson Miller as expected won reelection by a wide margin.

I was able to work a couple of hours at the polls and also attended the GOP celebration party at the Old Town Inn.   Today was a great day for Virginia and the future is looking bright once again.

Election Day.

If recent polls hold true,  Bob McDonnell will be our next Governor, and there is a chance the GOP will increase their majority in the House.    Of course just winning the election is not enough.   McDonnell will have to follow through on his campaign pledges and get our Commonwealth moving in the right direction.   Otherwise, in four years, there will be another bruising election cycle if the GOP cannot show they have learned from past disappointments.

I’m scheduled to volunteer later today at the polls,  so I’ll have  a post later on what I saw and heard.  Go out and vote.

Some good news regarding gangs in NOVA.   The on air report for the story also indicated MD is receiving some of those gang members chased out from VA and also pointed out the work between local law enforcement and the ICE as another reason for the drop.   MD, on the other hand, has put out the welcome mat for illegals, and it shows.

Post endorses Jackson Miller’s opponent

October 27, 2009 at 8:18 am | In City of Manassas, Media bias, Prince William County, Virginia Politics | Leave a Comment

In another sign the post does not understand local politics is their endorsement of Jeanette Rishell.   They call her “smart” and indicate she would be better at budget negotiations in Richmond, over Jackson Miller, who has spent three years in Richmond.  Furthermore, they even admit Miller has shown a moderate streak, which is what they usually call for Republicans to have.  But, obviously not when they are running against far left wackos, such as Jeanette Rishell.

Jeannette can’t even be honest about who endorses her campaign, can’t figure out there is no difference between a private gun sale at a gun show and one that does not take place at a gun show.    She has made blunder after blunder.  Yet, somehow the post feels she would make a better Delegate.   The post should have just said we support very liberal candidates instead of trying to provide dishonest reasons to support her.
